Mombasa teenager builds vehicle anti-theft system with mobile phones
PS: Grabbed the video from the mythbox and was able to upload to google video thx to the google kixp pipe and the somewhat usable local upload speed I’m getting on butterfly shown below
PPS: Those should be Kb/s not KB/S

Afrigadget material, dude! Great video and interesting upload speeds. At 3 am…
I’m hoping you guys can do a feature on him, the guy really is onto something there. 3am? Well sleep is for wimps
this gadget is very impressive! wow! perhaps he might add collision alerts to emergency services like 911 to sweeten the deal where in the event of an accident it notifies the emergency services and they can track where the vehicle is for medical assistance and recovery!
Damn it! I know that guy. I met him at high school science congerace 2 years ago. His project: a radio transmitter, the next year a robot, now a gsm controled car disabling device, wat next. The guys a real genius
Would love to talk to that guy. Anyone know how to get in touch?
I have his numbr somewhere. Will post wen i find it

Sir,
I hope this young man takes the best legal advice available, and does not allow his invention to be stolen.
First of all, he needs to form a company, and get worldwide patents. If he does not establish intellectual property rights, he will soon see someone else making millions of dollars a year from his work while he is still running around Mombassa in his baggy jeans.
He is a potential multi-millionaire .
HE HAS TO GET A LAWYER STRAIGHT AWAY.Even if he does not have one shilling to his name, there must be a good lawyer who will work for him in the expectation of being paid later. He could raise funds by selling shares in the company whilst retaining a large , controlling part of the equity.
I, for one, would be glad to buy a few shares.
I wish him all the luck in the world.

Looks Really Cool!! Great Idea!!
Just wondering what would happen if your cell phone runs out of battery or you don’t receive cell phone service in the area where you parked your car. Will you then be locked out from starting your car again.
Heartily appreciate the genius.
Any email/other online contact of the boy?
